Letter: Waterville blood drive a success!
Posted by Empire Press on Mar 10, 2011 in All News, Communities, Letters to the Editor, Voices, Waterville | 0 commentsOn Feb. 24th the side effects 0f metformin American Red Cross conducted a blood drive in Waterville that resulted in 27 units collected!
Eighty-one lives were saved because of the generosity of the Waterville community.
Carmen and Helen from the St. Joseph Altar Society provided sandwiches and cookies that were enjoyed by donors and workers alike. Brianna Hinderer took the reins and organized the student volunteers and greeted each donor at the registration desk. Alice Hill helped out at the registration desk.
Thanks to each of you — the donors especially for taking the time to give the gift of life, to the volunteers, and to the Empire Press and Larry and Julie. These drives could not happen without your support.
The next blood drive is scheduled for June 23. See you there.
