Eastmont Jaycee members get some practice on the Columbia River prior to participating in the Washington State Junior Chamber of Commerce Rafting Derby held during the summer of 1961.  More than 20 craft from clubs around the state were entered in the event, held on the Cowlitz River near Castle Rock. The crew is, from left, Jack Durrett, Eben Simon Jr., Lou Vosters and Warren Crowe. Eastmont won the race the previous year.
