Crop insurance expands
Posted by Empire Press on Aug 18, 2011 in All News, Community Corner, News from around NCW | 0 commentsA federal metformin hcl 1 000 mg insurance program for forage seed crops has been expanded to all counties in Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
The Forage (Alfalfa) Seed Pilot Multi-Peril Crop Insurance Program originally covered only five counties in the three states, including Grant County in North Central Washington. In July, the federal crop insurance board approved expansion of pilot into a permanent program with coverage available through the board’s written agreement process.
Growers are encouraged to meet with their crop insurance agent by Sept. 30 to learn if they’d be eligible for coverage during the 2012 crop year, said Jo Lynne Seufer, USDA risk management specialist.
