Delbert H. Lautensleger

Delbert H. Lautensleger, 81, of Brewster, died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Okanogan-Douglas County Hospital.

He had metformin weight loss buy been a longtime resident of Brewster. He had worked for Standard Oil in Ephrata, had owned and operated a Chevron service station in Wenatchee, and had worked for Goehry’s Inc. in Brewster.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Lautensleger of Brewster; his children, Conrad Lautensleger of Monroe, Sandi Jeffris of East Wenatchee, Shellie Sanchez of Orland Park, Ill.; his stepchildren, Rhonda Davis of Columbia Falls, Mont., and Susan Ravenstein and Jackie Moriarty, both of Twisp; his brother, Conrad Lautensleger of Cashmere; and his sister, Ethel M. Riggan of Brewster.

A tribute service was held Aug. 9 at the Brewster American Legion Hall.

Private interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.

Eva Mae Harrison McLean

Eva Mae Harrison McLean, 90, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, died Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011.

She had lived in Brewster, Connell and most recently, in western Idaho. She had worked in fruit packing sheds, as a nurses aid at hospitals and nursing homes, and at an American Legion club.

Survivors include her children, Glenn Harrison of McKinney, Texas, Larry Harrison of Rancho Murieta, Calif., and Diane Johnson of Post Falls, Idaho.

Graveside services were held Aug. 6 at Okanogan Valley Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements were by Precht-Harrison-Nearents Chapel, Okanogan.

Charles  D. ‘Chuck’ Bennett Sr.

Charles D. “Chuck” Bennett Sr., 77, of East Wenatchee, died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011.

He had lived in the Wenatchee area for more than 70 years and worked as a greeter at Walmart, after a career at Keokuk Silicon Metal, later called Hannah Mining and SMI.

Survivors include his wife, Ruth Bennett of East Wenatchee; three daughters, Teresa Cox of Goldendale, Alice Dawson of Waterville and

Cynthia Mitchell of Clarkston; one son, Charles D. Bennett Jr., of Wenatchee; one sister, Mary Newberry of Cashmere; and one brother, Carl Bennett of Wenatchee.

Commemoration services were held Aug. 10 at the Valley View Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1201 10th St N.E., in East Wenatchee.

Steven Robert Zones

Steven Robert Zones, 81, of Waterville, died Sunday, June 26, 2011.

He had lived most of his life in Waterville, where he had been a wheat farmer.

Survivors include his daughter, Mary Zones and his brother, John Zones.

A memorial service was held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.
