Wings & Wheels draws thousands

Fans of metformin weight loss co uk performance planes and autos, many of them classics, streamed Saturday into separate venues at Pangborn Memorial Airport and Eastmont Community Park for the Wings & Wheels Festival.
The popular festival, now in its ninth year, ran both Saturday and Sunday and featured daily breakfasts, food and craft booths, radio-controlled cars and planes, the Davis Shows NW Carnival, roller derby demonstrations and large exhibits of cars (classics, hot rods, souped-up trucks) and classic and experimental airplanes.
More than 150 people turned out Saturday to honor Arnie Clarke at the unveiling of a memorial display that features biographical sketches, war photographs and medals, including a Purple Heart and Silver Star. Clarke was a Vietnam rescue pilot and former airport manager. He died in December at age 75.
The ceremony was a featured event of Pangborn’s annual Aviation Day, which gives close-up, hands-on views of airport operations and a variety of planes. The celebration, held on the tarmac and inside hangars, is part of Wings & Wheels.
