Sheriff seeks public’s help finding missing man

MOSES LAKE — Grant County metformin er 500mg side effects Sheriff Tom Jones is seeking help from the public with retracing the steps of Moses Lake area farmer Dan Toya, 64, who went missing Friday Dec. 23.

Toya told his wife on Friday that he was taking their one-year-old golden Labrador retriever to a Moses Lake veterinarian, and then planned to take the dog for a walk. When Toya did not return later, his wife contacted family members. A relative found Toya’s unoccupied pickup truck in the Samson’s Beach area Friday evening.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was called, and a ground search was immediately started involving multiple resources, public safety personnel and Toya’s friends and family. Searchers worked through the night and resumed searching Saturday morning, but Toya and his dog were nowhere to be found. The ground search was suspended around 2 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators are interested in any information from the public about any sightings of Toya. He was reportedly in good health and was in good spirits.

Toya is a 64-year-old Asian male, standing 5’09” tall, weighing 180 pounds. He has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a dark colored jacket, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He should have been accompanied by his golden Labrador retriever.
