Girls play great defense, couldn’t pull out win

They played the Warden Cougars Jan. 27, who they beat earlier in the season at home. There was much hustle on the court, but they couldn’t pull a win out, with the game ending in a 39-24 loss.
Elaina Thomsen had eight points and 10 rebounds. She was the Shockers offensive MVP. Diana Davila had 11 rebounds and three steals. She was the defensive MVP. Bailey Bromiley made the hustle play of the year and was the game’s MVP.
The Lady Shockers also played the Soap Lake Eagles Jan. 28. The girls played some amazing defense, but couldn’t get any shots to fall in the second half, losing 56-36.
Thomsen had 11 points and eight rebounds, along with seven steals. She was the Shockers offensive MVP. Kendra Toomey had seven rebounds and five steals. She was the defensive MVP. Hanna Clements played amazing defense, controlling the base line and stopping inside shots. She also had four points, six rebounds, and three steals to be the game’s MVP for the Shockers.
