Pictorial Past | Freight company moves the goods

Freight moves rapidly across the dock of Northwest Motor Freight Co. in East Wenatchee in September of 1958. A California wage dispute shut down up to 1,600 large-scale trucking operations in the West at that time, including interstate operations serving North Central Washington. Over a 30-day period, Northwest filled in hauling tons of freight throughout the state. (Provided photo/Wenatchee World archives)
