WATERVILLE – The tradition of the annual “Crab Feed” continues! This year was the 25th event that the Friends of the NCW Fair has hosted as a fundraiser for capital improvements on the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Orondo Fire said in a news release it responded Wednesday, April 17, at 9 p.m. to the report of a structure fire at Beebe Ranch, two miles north of the Beebe Bridge.
Orondo Fire responded at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 12, to the report of an auto accident on U.S. 97 just south of the Beebe Bridge. The first arriving units found a damaged pickup with an injured driver, according to a news release.
WENATCHEE — Public defense directors in Chelan and Douglas counties want to be optimistic about newly approved caseload limits meant to improve indigent defense for clients and working conditions for public defenders.
