Leadership: Elementary Student Leadership Council

| By Ali Mires |

The Elementary Student Leadership Council is a great way to use all the seven habits and become a great leader. The council is decided similar to how the president is chosen. Every kid gets to decide who is chosen with their ballot. Once the council is chosen, they immediately get to work. There are four council members and the governors and the representatives from each class. The council decides things as a group, not just the president’s vote. The whole council is using the seven habits in almost everything we do.

The council recently decided on starting a school store. The school store sells things that we think kids will buy including pencils, bouncy balls, pencil toppers, rulers, bookmarks and erasers. The store is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays and we have been making a good amount of money. The leadership council has many great things going and one of the things I am most proud of is the way we all agree and then we try to make it happen. The council is a great way to project the seven habits and show a positive example.

The Elementary School Leadership Council includes:

President: Tayen Myrbo

Vice President: Gannon Gormley

Secretary: Hailey Moreno

Treasurer: Ali Mires

And representatives from each grade.
