‘The 7 Habits’ — Habit 3: Put First Things First

| By Johnna Hope |

Today I’m going to tell you about the third habit — Put First Things First. The habit, Put First Things First,  is pretty much about doing the important things before the not so important things. As an example, your friend just invited you over and you really want to go but you have tons of homework. What should you do first? I really hope you just thought to do your homework because that is what you should have done.

This is an example for the grown ups. You are talking to your kids at dinner and you hear your phone. You just got a text! Put first things first and keep talking with your kids.

Next, I’m going to tell you ways you can use the habit Put First Things First. You can do chores before shopping, you can do homework before playing and you can do work before recess. And now you know what the third habit — Put First Things First — is. Remember to use it to be more effective.
