Seniors Farmers Market vouchers available in June

EAST WENATCHEE — Are you a low income senior and enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables? Then you may quality for the Seniors Farmers Market Nutrition Program.

Aging & Adult Care of Central Washington is sponsoring its annual public voucher distribution during June. Each eligible senior will have the opportunity to

receive $40 in vouchers to purchase fresh fruit, vegetables and honey at any approved farmers markets and farm stores in North Central Washington.

Eligible seniors must be at least 60 years of age with a monthly income under $1,832 for a one-person household or $2,470 for a two-person household and are

current residents of Washington state. To receive vouchers, participants must attend a distribution and show an identification card or Washington state driver’s license.

Distributions include:

Wenatchee: Wenatchee Valley Senior Activity Center, 1312 Maple St., 9 to 11 a.m., June 2.

Brewster: Senior Center, 100 S. Bridge St., 10:30 a.m. to noon, June 6.

Chelan: Senior Center, 534 E. Trow, 1 to 2 p.m., June 13.

Manson: Northshore Bible Church, 123 Wapato Point Parkway, 2:30 to 3 p.m., June 13.
