The Waterville swim team hosted the swim team from Quincy on July 20.

Waterville again had 45 swimmers while Quincy had 38. Head coach for Quincy is Brooke Westra, with assistants Randy Hodges, Brenda VanDiest, and Brynn Nieuwenhuis. Westra said this is her first year coaching and she is loving it. Waterville’s head coach is Samantha Fletcher, with assistants Angel Lucero and Riley Voie.

It was a very cool evening for swimming with the wind blowing and the temperature at 65 degrees.

Members of the Lions Club, with assistance from the swimmers’ parents, again cooked hamburgers and had beverages and chips available for purchase. There were about a 125 spectators at the meet.
