The Shocker boys’ baseball team hosted the Lake Roosevelt Raiders on April 24. The Shockers started with a strong first inning but the Raiders came back with several good innings of their own. Going into the seventh inning the score was 3-7 in favor of the Raiders.

The Shockers came back in their final inning to win the game 8-7. Mac Van Lith lead off in the seventh with a single. Others got on base with singles and a walk. Tristen Marden drove in the tying run and Jordan Davis drove in Marden for the winning score.

Coach Cody Brunner said, “The boys we not about to give up and it was truly a total team effort.” Angel Lucero was the starting pitcher; relief pitchers were Ethan Petersen and Will Osborne.

On April 26 the Shockers finished a game against the Soap Lake Eagles. A game that earlier in the season was called on account of darkness. The game picked up in the top of the fourth with the score of 5-1 in the Shockers favor.

Final score was 15-3, giving Shockers the win. “All the guys did a better job at swinging at strikes and being aggressive every time at bat,” Brunner said.

Starting pitcher was Jacob Stibal, relief pitchers were Tristen Marden and Will Osborne.
