The NCW Fair has a new fair manager. Carolyn Morley, a native of Waterville, has been hired to fill the position that has been vacant since former manager Loni Rahm left after last year’s fair.

County Administrator James Barker said that a committee had interviewed about half a dozen applicants over the past five months.

Barker said that Morley will begin work between May 21 and 28. Interim manager Ed Daling will continue in his position through the 2018 fair to ensure a smooth transition and to provide mentoring.

The interview committee recommended Morley and the appointment was approved by both the fair board and the County Commissioners.

Morley has most recently worked as the executive director of Bonaventure Senior Living of East Wenatchee and previously worked as the marketing director for Bonaventure. She recently moved back to Waterville. Barker highlighted Morley’s marketing skills and her personality as standing out to the interview committee.

“She has a wonderful personality that I know is going to blend very well in the community,” Barker said.
