The Waterville H2O swim team hosted Cashmere for a meet on July 5. The visiting swimmers won the meet.

Waterville does well with just less than 50 team members. Cashmere, well known for its popular swim team program, brought about 100 of its 120 team members.

Waterville head coach Samantha Fletcher is a former Cashmere swimmer who was on their teams for nine seasons. Fletcher was very impressed with the improvement of the H2O swimmers.

“The weather was perfect, better than the cold temperature and wind of last week,” she said. “It was a great meet, the kids did a wonderful job. I think every swimmer showed improvement.”

Fletcher also expressed her appreciation to the many volunteers who help with each meet.

There are two meets left in the season — one in Wenatchee on July 12, and one in Quincy on July 19. The All-League Championships will be held July 28 in Wenatchee.
