Blood drives announced in August

NCW — As summer winds down, the American Red Cross urges individuals to give blood and platelets now and help end an emergency summer blood shortage that began last month. A critical need remains as many regular donors delay giving to take final summer vacations and prepare for school to start.

  • 1:30 to 7 p.m., Aug. 20, Holy Apostles Catholic Church, 1315 8th St. N.E., East Wenatchee
  • Noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 21, Wenatchee Community Center, 504 S. Chelan Ave., Wenatchee
  • 1 to 6 p.m. Aug. 23, Brewster Boys and Girls Club, 601 W. Cliff Ave., Brewster
  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 24, Confluence Health, 820 N. Chelan Ave., Wenatchee
  • Noon to 6 p.m. Aug. 28, Wenatchee Community Center, 504 S. Chelan Ave., Wenatchee
  • 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 29, Grace Lutheran Church, 1408 Washington St., Wenatchee
