Douglas County Sheriff’s Report

Nov. 29

Orondo, theft: 10 block of Park Place, an unknown person entered numerous mailboxes, and left most of them open. This had also occurred before within the past few weeks. It was not known if mail was taken.

Nov. 30

Orondo, assault: Chelan Hills Acres Road and Rocky Road, a man reported having received threatening comments from a neighbor and being poked in the chest by the neighbor over a dispute. The victim did not want to pursue charges and said that he would attempt to obtain an anti-harassment order.

Dec. 2

Rock Island, harass/threat: 10 block of Douglas Street, a man reported an ongoing issue with a neighbor, especially regarding the neighbor’s pit bull. The man was given information about obtaining an anti-harassment order.

Waterville, burglary: 1300 block of Road F N.W., a shop, garage and house were entered. Diesel cans, a pressure washer, a chair and table set, hand tools, garden tools, a kerosene heater, boxes of kerosene, buckets of food, a washer/dryer set and shelving units were taken. The total estimated value of the items was $2,260. The burglar did some damage to the garage and the garage door in entering. Pry marks were left on the shop door. There are no leads.

Dec. 3

Palisades, trespass: 10 block of Wagon Road, someone shot a dog on Nov. 29. The dog was taken to a veterinarian after it was seen limping for several days. The veterinarian located a.22 caliber round in the dog’s leg. There are no leads.

Rimrock, trespass: 100 block of Pixlee Road, there was a report of hunters driving on private roads that were labeled with “No Trespassing” signs. When the deputy arrived, he found a truck parked on county right-of-way and did not find anyone on the private property.

Dec. 5

Bridgeport, harass/threat: Bridgeport Middle School, threats made to a student by another student were reported to the school resource officer. The sheriff’s office worked with the school on an investigation and the accused student was expelled from the school.
