Waterville/Mansfield hosted Soap Lake on Jan. 12.

The Shocker girls varsity team?defeated the Eagles, 64-20.

The?girls have been steadily improving week after week.?They are showing strong play on offense?with more 3-point shots and are scoring well under the basket, while their defense improvement is with rebounding. The girls are 8-3 in the CW2B league as of Jan. 12.

Shocker statistics?were Codee Reid, 26 points; Ella Osborne, 17 points; Elizabeth Katovich, 8 points; Sarah Mullen, 7 points; and Alex Poppie, 6 points.

The junior varsity girls did not play.

Waterville/Mansfield’s?varsity boys won their second conference game this year defeating the Eagles, 37-31. The Shockers had a?1 point lead at halftime?with a score of 16-15. Then in the third quarter the Shockers had 19 points including one 3-point shot, while the Eagles had only 8 points. In the fourth quarter the Shockers shooting went cold?with only 2 points while the Eagles?rallied?with 8 points. In the CW2B league as of Jan. 12, the Shocker boys are 2-9.

Scoring highlights were?Kayden Browning , 12 points; Kody Angus, 6 points; Anthony Ochoa, 6 points; Angel Lucero, 5 points; Tristen Marden, 4 points; Kyler Borden, 2 points; and Evan Simmons, 2 points. The Shockers made 6 of 13 free throws.

The Shocker?junior varsity boys won?their game over the Eagles 51-38. No?statistics?were available.
