Pictorial Past | Milestone event at Withrow

A number of early-day Withrow area citizens were present to witness the arrival of water to the Douglas County farm community in 1909. In the background is the steam-operated machine the Miller Drilling Company used in drilling the well for the Withrow Improvement Company. Those pictured include Lee and Flora Jasper, Jack and Scott Withrow, Edith Sawyer, Myron Ayers and members of the J.E. Andrew, C.O. Oakland, George Estill, Carl Schmidt and Bill Sprauer families.
