Land Trust secures nature preserve in Douglas County

WENATCHEE — The Chelan-Douglas Land Trust recently acquired 1,396 acres in northern Douglas County for the purpose of conserving shrub-steppe and wetland habitats. The Badger Mountain Ski Hill is set to open for the season on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend. The ski hill website noted that the storm of Jan. 8 and 9 brought six inches of new snow.
